Festive RED chalkboard wall art - Lake Girl Paints

Gorgeous red homemade chalkboard wall hanging by Lake Girl Paints featured on I Love That Junk

Have you ever seen a red homemade chalkboard project before? Me neither! This is truly beautiful right down to the art! But there's a sneaky trick to achieving this look.

plaster of paris goes into your paint for homemade chalk paint! Click here for more.

Deb indeed created her own chalkboard paint adding plaster of paris to her red paint. But she took things a step further and created a darkened edge around the entire board. What an outstanding 3D touch!

As an artist, I'm all about those additional touches that make a project pop just that much more. And this detail certainly does it for me.
