Vintage page bookmarks are not only a clever idea, they ...
look so cool!
Gail found this fabulous old yellow paged spanish dictionary for a whoppin' $1.50 in Budapest. (I think knowing that makes this project extra cool)
She wanted to do something special with the book but wasn't sure what, until a brainstorm hit. She dusted off her never used $20 laminator found at Costco and got to work. ($20?! I want one!)
She cut out the book pages ...
And laminated them 4 in a row. Perfection! I love that the book ends up being a useful keepsake!
Gail also has another suggestion on how to create the bookmarks without a laminator.

LOVE this!! I have some old Bob & Jane books that are in terrible condition but didn't have the heart to throw them out. I know I can make these with them!! Black and white illustrations will look cute too!!
ReplyDeleteBeyond GABulous! Will definitely do this with old books, scraps of wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, odds & ends of wallpaper. Even scraps of thin of material. Endless ideas! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the other day... I should put my laminator and my book binder to work and make something with them! Get started on Christmas right now~
