Nautical styled bedroom - Savvy Southern Style

Nautical styled bedroom by Savvy Southern Style, featured at I Love That Junk

When I spotted this nautical themed bedroom, I could nearly...

hear the waves hitting the beach! I love every little eclectic detail in this space.

The mismatched pillows have the bed looking unplanned... love that!  The floating shelves beside the bed take advantage of some unused vertical space, making your eye rise in the most delightful of ways. And the bolt of red in the curtains offer the perfect strength to pull it all together.

An old trunk becomes the perfect bedside table, with glorious authentically worn details celebrated, rather than hidden.

In keeping with the theme, part of a navy uniform belonging to Kim's Mr. is proudly displayed in a shadow box styled frame. The perfect accent to this room, with meaning.

  3. I love the Navy Uniform. My Grand-dad and Uncle were in the navy. It would be neat to see service uniforms displayed with honor rather than relegated to the back of a closet left for the moths!

    pretty room,
    Love the new blog, Pat
